We had our malate initiation the other day, and the memories will stain-- I mean last forever.

I learned several things, many of them centering on how I will never be a great interrogator, how I'm so random I can't keep track of what I say or where they come from after I've said them, and the best way to eat certain things. Mmmm... why my traits won't burn escape me, though. Gasp. Am I resistant to change?

I also learned that I should never be allowed to travel alone in unfamiliar territory. It so happened that I was supposed to go home after the initiation, and I initially had no company. I thought, Ngh. I can do this. So I walked. And walked. Crossed a few streets, followed the crowd, and before I knew it, nothing looked remotely familiar anymore.

It had me thinking, Doody.

So I turned back to the starting point, and texted a friend while desperately hoping he was still there. He was. I waited a while, then we met up. He laughed after I told him of my adventure.

I've learned that to walk back to DLSU from Harbor Square, one must turn left of the CCP building, and follow the sign of blue that proclaims: IN GOD WE TRUST

That, and never to walk right of Jollibee, unless I wanted to go to Star City, which I walked past. Twice.
